Body Mapping
A Body Map is your personal understanding of your body and anatomy and how it moves. Everyone has a Body Map!
Movement can be inefficient or limited due to pain or injury, lack of knowledge regarding anatomy or biomechanics, or bad habits that developed over time.
Defining your Body Map can improve the quality of your movements and, as a result, enhance the quality of your sound and overall sense of ease while playing.
Body Mapping is a somatic method that helps us replace our faulty Body Maps with anatomically correct maps to allow for more effortless and expressive movement.
